COUPAR'S APRIL EDIT

Spring is known as the season of new beginnings and we've certainly seen a resurgence in creative energy over the past month. From the outstanding turnout at this year's exclusive blue-chip art event, Private Collections, to the upcoming showcase presented by Chloe Gallery, the world of art and design is blossoming with life. And we don't just mean figuratively. On April 29th, the ICAA will be collaborating with internationally renowned floral designer, Kiana Underwood of Tulipina Designs, who will teach guests how to create their own intricate bouquets. This is just one of many ways in which our community can come together this season to share our artistry and craftsmanship. As a dedicated part of the design community, we at Coupar cannot wait to see where our revitalized energy takes us.

Please join us thanking Stephanie Breitbard, Margan Mulvihill, Honorary Chair Kendall Wilkinson, and the amazing teams behind Enterprise for Youth, Private Collections, Simon Breitbard Fine Arts, and media sponsors Nob Hill Gazette and California Home + Design Magazine for bringing this event to life in the pages of their magazine. CHLOE GALLERY PRESENTS AN EVENING WITH ARTIST CARRIE GRABER

On May 6th, 2017, Chloe Gallery will be hosting an event to showcase the iconic paintings of Carrie Graber. The artist, who paints scenes that showcase women in gorgeous mid-century modern architecture, is one of the gallery’s most popular painters. This event will provide attendees with the rare opportunity to view not only Carrie’s prints but new originals as well as limited edition pieces. Chloe Gallery co-owner and curator, Amy Nelder, says, “We hope this event will enable designers to start an open dialogue with their clients over what their preferences are when it comes to artwork in their home.” Whether a limited edition piece or a smaller print captures your eye, Chloe Gallery is happy to provide virtual placement and space evaluation services to better visualize the piece in your home. Carrie’s paintings are at once thoughtful and serene and will be a soothing addition to any collection.

EVENT DETAILS
May 6, 2017, from 5 PM – 7 PM
Location:  Chloe Gallery, 645 Beach Street, San Francisco, CA, 94109
RSVP Required: Email amy@chloefinearts.com or call 1(415) 749-1000
About the Artist: Carrie Graber is an oil painter whose work on canvas surfaces evoke an emotional response from the viewer. Her keen understanding of modern architecture–the simplicity of the materials, streamlined lifestyle, elegance, and acknowledgment of the landscape they are built upon–allow her to accurately capture the emotional experiences that people experience when immersed in a well-designed space. There’s a peace and quiet to her paintings, a golden celebration of the sun, and an emphasis on iconic design. She hopes her pieces allow viewers to redefine mid-century modern architecture as art and encourage them to preserve these historic structures.
