COUPAR'S JUNE EDIT

June 21st marks the official start of summer and as the seasons change, we’re noticing some exciting changes within the industry as well. Not only are we hiring for both our Studio and Communications teams, but we’re also seeing our clients pushing the envelope when it comes to media, relationships, and their businesses. From first-time San Francisco Decorator's Showcase participants to brand new blog content and video productions, the past couple of months have been filled with bravery, creativity, and adaptation. The result is a positive influence in the world of design. On that note, we’re honored to invite you to participate in Studio Becker’s bicycle design event, all proceeds from which will be donated to the New Door Ventures charity. As we start our stylish summers, let’s focus on maintaining this assertive and innovative attitude to continue to enhance the design community!

KARI MCINTOSH SHINES AT SAN FRANCISCO SHOWCASE

San Mateo-based interior designer Kari McIntosh made her San Francisco Decorator Showcase debut this year with a bold blue and white office designed with the woman of the house in mind. Nestled between the master bedroom and bath, this space, named The Balancing Point, is a private yet creative retreat where mom can juggle work, family, and play in style. Editors and visitors alike marveled at Kari's thoughtful use of art, accessories, furniture, and finishes from local vendors and artisans including Bolt Textiles, C. Mariani Antiques, textile artist Llane Alexis, Simon Breitbard Fine Arts, and St. Frank Textiles. Kari and her space were highlighted in Silicon Valley Magazine, Curbed San Francisco, Modern Sanctuary, C Social Front, California Home + Design and more. Read more about this inspired space on our blog and or click to shop the collection!

BREAK THE CYCLE | DESIGN FOR A CAUSE

Team up with fellow designers for a fun challenge that will push you to reinvent the wheel (so to speak) when it comes to designing a bicycle to be auctioned off for charity. Hosted by Studio Becker and Luxe SF Magazine, this event will feature ten teams and ten incredible bicycles. Each team will consist of two-to-three industry professionals who will work together to create a vehicle unlike any other. Bikes will be distributed within the next two-to-three weeks.

On November 9th, each bicycle will be auctioned off with all proceeds going to New Door Ventures, a charity that offers employment and education opportunities to the Bay Area's disconnected youth.

To sign up as a designer, please contact Robert Templon at robert@sf.studiobecker.com.

Studio Becker 680 8th Street, Suite 153, San Francisco, CA 94103
